Monotype Print and chine colle using Fabriano and Washi paper
500 x 350 mm
This series of works evolved from a playful day in studio with Indigo ink. The resultant Underwater Moon series was crafted from collaging the monotype prints with hand-printed washi tissue paper to evoke a subtle and reflected moon quality in the final artwork.
The use of collage and chine colle enabled me to achieve a thin and transparent Indigo seam around each moon form. The combination of papers enables a delicate shift in viewing with transparent as well as opaque areas in the work.
