Rain has a way of washing the sky clean. Across False Bay in Cape Town the mountains on the other side of the bay glow in the first bright rays of sunlight after the clouds have gone. The bay is abstracted into bands of colour that greet the eye, captured in this woodblock print by a using a minimalist composition which allows the natural woodgrain of the carved woodblock to delicately texture the hues where the sea meets the land.
