'Eco-Longing' at The Art Room

 

This year's annual exhibition of The Printing Girls is hosted at the Art Room in Parkhurst, Johannesburg. Each member of the collective features works from their own practice as well as a work made specifically for the themed collection. This year's theme is 'Eco-Longing' and is inspired by the groundswell of longing for, or nostalgia around, the natural environment given the consistent lockdowns experienced in the last year. We live in a physically beautiful country with diverse flora and fauna. The theme has been openly interpreted by a fabulous group of talented printmakers.
